CANADA, September 11 - Drivers are advised to expect traffic-pattern changes on Highway 1 at Mount Lehman Road as work continues to widen Highway 1 through the Fraser Valley.
These traffic-pattern changes are necessary to support ongoing highway widening and structure improvements as part of the Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program, which is improving safety, reducing congestion and supporting reliable travel in this important corridor.
Beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, the westbound Fraser Highway on-ramp to Highway 1 will be closed until 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. Drivers will be detoured via the westbound Mount Lehman Road on-ramp. All other ramps will remain open.
Additional traffic-pattern changes will be in place nightly from Monday, Sept. 14 until Thursday, Sept. 17, from 9 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
During these overnight periods, eastbound Highway 1 traffic from west of Mount Lehman Road to east of Fraser Highway will cross over and travel in the westbound lanes, with one lane open in each direction.
The southbound off-ramp at Mount Lehman Road will remain open. Detours will be available for northbound Mount Lehman Road and eastbound Fraser Highway traffic. Eastbound on-ramp access to Highway 1 will remain unaffected.
Work schedules may change due to weather and other site conditions.
Drivers are reminded to use caution, obey signage and watch for roadside workers. Please allow for additional travel time through the area when diversions are underway.
